Frequently Asked Questions
We're here to help you understand how AdvoAssist works, find the right specialist, and navigate your legal matter with confidence.
How the platform works
What is AdvoAssist?
AdvoAssist is a platform that connects you with independent, verified lawyers, notaries and other legal professionals in the UAE. You describe your situation, get matched with the right specialist, and manage your case, documents, messages and payments from one account.
What exactly do you offer?
Legal consultations and case-related services across many areas of UAE law, from a paid consultation to case handling, together with tools to manage documents, payments and communication with your specialist in one place.
Do you provide legal services yourselves?
The legal work is handled by an independent professional who is appropriately licensed for the service. AdvoAssist provides the platform, specialist onboarding checks and case-management support. The scope of each party’s responsibilities is governed by the applicable engagement agreement and platform terms.
If a specialist does the actual legal work, what am I paying AdvoAssist for?
AdvoAssist provides specialist matching, booking and payment tools, case-management features and a process for raising service-related disputes. If something goes wrong, you can contact Support or submit an Arbitration request where the dispute falls within the platform’s Arbitration process. Any remedy is subject to the applicable agreement and Refund and Cancellation Policy.
What’s the advantage of using AdvoAssist instead of finding a lawyer myself?
You can compare specialist profiles and available information in one place. AdvoAssist also provides tools for handling requests, bookings, documents, messages and payments through one account.
Do you work with individuals and companies?
Yes. AdvoAssist supports individual clients and corporate clients.
I’m not sure I even need a lawyer — how do I decide?
You can describe your situation through the platform’s chat or request a consultation to help you understand possible next steps. A specialist can discuss your circumstances and explain whether further legal assistance may be appropriate.
What areas of law do you cover?
Services may include family and divorce matters, wills and inheritance, tenancy and rental disputes, criminal defence, marriage contracts, immigration and Golden Visa matters, company formation, contract drafting and review, real estate transactions, employment disputes, debt collection, civil claims, trademark registration, document attestation, notarization and certified translation. Availability depends on the services and specialists listed on the platform.
Can I call you instead of using the website?
You can contact the AdvoAssist team for guidance with submitting a request and getting started. The available contact channels and service hours are shown on the website.
Do you have free legal information I can read myself?
The platform may provide self-help materials with plain-language explanations of common legal terms and general questions. These materials are informational and do not replace advice from a qualified specialist.
Can someone from AdvoAssist set up my account or case for me?
Contact the AdvoAssist team for help with account setup and starting a request. Any account created or action taken on your behalf remains subject to the platform’s account and privacy requirements.
Creating a legal request
How do I start?
Select Get Help and describe your situation, browse Services and select a service, or contact the AdvoAssist team for assistance. You may be able to upload relevant documents or request a consultation, depending on the service.
What information do you need from me to match the right specialist?
Provide a clear description of your situation, the area of law involved and your preferred language. Where relevant, include deadlines, court dates and documents you already have. More complete information can help the team identify a suitable specialist.
I don’t want a consultation — I just want to know what a full case would cost. Can I do that?
For services with a published fixed price, you can review the available scope and price before confirming. For matters without a fixed price, available quotation or minimum-payment options will be shown where supported by the platform.
Can I get quotes from several lawyers on the same question?
For eligible matters without a fixed price, the Quotation Request feature may allow multiple invited specialists to review your request and propose prices. Availability and any applicable terms are shown when you submit the request.
Finding and working with specialists
How do you help me find the right specialist?
Requests can be matched to specialists by area of law, language and location. Public profiles may show specialization, verification status, experience, education, biography and ratings so you can compare available specialists before choosing. Matching suggestions are intended to help you decide and are not a guarantee of suitability.
How can I be sure the lawyers you list are properly verified?
AdvoAssist reviews the licence, registration and professional information requested during onboarding before approving a specialist profile. Verification is an administrative check and does not guarantee a particular result or replace your own assessment.
Can I see a full list of all your lawyers and consultants?
You can browse available specialist profiles on the platform and use the available filters, such as area of law, language and emirate.
What languages can I get a consultation in?
Available languages depend on the specialists listed on the platform. Check each specialist’s profile for their languages; English, Arabic and Russian may be available.
How does a consultation work, and how long does it last?
You book a time with your chosen specialist and meet online or, where offered, in person. The duration and format are shown when you book. Check the booking details for the duration of any free duty-lawyer consultation.
How do you make sure the quality of consultations stays high?
AdvoAssist uses onboarding checks and may monitor feedback, response times and case updates. Ratings and reviews can help clients assess their experience, but they do not guarantee a particular outcome.
Documents
Where are my documents stored, and who can see them?
Documents in your personal archive are visible only to you by default. A document is shared with a specialist when you explicitly share it within a case, subject to the platform’s access controls and Privacy Policy.
What if I forgot to bring an important document to my consultation?
Where the case tools allow it, you can upload a document after the consultation or share it with your specialist through the case messaging channel.
What if I attach a document when I announce a Quotation Request?
Share only the documents reasonably needed for invited specialists to understand your matter and prepare a quote. Avoid including sensitive or confidential information that is not necessary, and redact it where appropriate. Access to quotation documents is governed by the platform’s applicable terms and privacy rules.
Payments
When do I need to pay?
Payment is generally required in advance when you confirm an eligible request or select a specialist, before work begins. The applicable price and payment terms are shown before you confirm.
How can I pay?
The payment methods available for your service are shown during checkout. Confirm the accepted methods displayed for your booking before paying.
Will I pay AdvoAssist separately, on top of the specialist’s fee?
The total price and applicable charges are displayed before you confirm. Review the checkout details and applicable terms to see what is included in the price.
What happens right after I pay?
After payment is confirmed, you receive a confirmation and the relevant case or messaging tools become available according to the service workflow. Your booking is confirmed in accordance with the terms shown for that service.
When does my specialist actually start working?
Work begins according to the service terms once the required payment and engagement steps are complete. The team may begin processing your request after it is submitted; any applicable response-time commitments will be shown by AdvoAssist.
What determines the price of a lawyer’s services?
Price can depend on the type and complexity of the matter, the specialist’s seniority and specialization, and the scope and options selected. For services without a fixed price, the available quotation process and payment terms explain how the price is determined.
What if the price changes after work has started, or I need more than I originally paid for?
The price applies to the scope shown when you confirm the service. If additional work is needed, ask for a clear explanation of the proposed scope and price and review any required approval and payment steps before proceeding. Additional charges should be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and platform terms.
What additional paid services can I buy?
Depending on availability, the platform may offer consultations, case handling, document drafting and review, translation, notarization and other services listed in the Services section.
Cases
How does the case proceed once I’ve chosen a specialist?
Your specialist handles the agreed professional work, such as advice, drafting or representation. Your account provides the available case status and tools for keeping documents and communications organised.
Do you check that the lawyer is actually delivering what I paid for?
AdvoAssist may monitor response times, case updates and client feedback. If you believe a specialist is not performing as agreed, raise the issue through the available platform channels.
What if I’m not happy with how my lawyer is handling my case, or disagree with a price change?
Raise the issue with your specialist first where appropriate. If it remains unresolved and falls within the Arbitration process, submit an Arbitration request from your dashboard. Disputes about the professional quality of legal advice may need to be addressed with the relevant professional regulator.
Will I be notified about deadlines or updates in my case?
The platform may send notifications about case-status changes and deadlines where those features are available. You should still keep track of important legal deadlines and confirm them with your specialist.
Is there a guarantee on the work performed?
No platform can guarantee that you will win a case or obtain a particular legal outcome. Any service-quality commitment, correction period or remedy is governed by the applicable engagement terms and Refund and Cancellation Policy. Review those terms for the specific service you purchase.
What happens once my case is marked complete?
Review the completion notice and the terms for your service, including any applicable period for raising questions or requesting corrections. If you need help after a case is closed, contact Support and explain the issue and any reason for the delay.
Communication
How do I talk to my specialist?
Use the case messaging channel made available after the relevant booking or payment steps are complete. Voice or video communication may be available where offered for the service.
How do you protect the confidentiality of what I share?
AdvoAssist handles personal data according to its Privacy Policy and applies access controls for authorised purposes such as providing the service, security, support, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
What if I forget to ask something important during the consultation?
Where the service includes case messaging, you can follow up with your specialist after the consultation. Any additional work or consultation may be subject to the agreed service scope and terms.
Support and other processes
What’s the difference between Support and Arbitration?
Use Support for platform questions, technical problems and account assistance. Use Arbitration for eligible disputes about a service result or a specialist’s price reassessment. The dashboard explains the information required and the available status updates for each process.
What happens if I disagree with AdvoAssist’s resolution of an Arbitration?
Review the Arbitration terms and the resolution provided. If you still have concerns, contact Support or consider the dispute-resolution options available under your agreement and applicable law.
In what cases can you refuse to provide the service?
AdvoAssist or a specialist may decline a matter because of a conflict of interest or other objective, professional or legal reasons. Any applicable limitations and grounds for refusal are governed by the relevant engagement agreement and assessed case by case.
What’s the difference between finding a lawyer through AdvoAssist and doing it myself?
AdvoAssist provides specialist profiles, onboarding checks and tools for managing requests, bookings, documents and communications in one place. You should still review the available profile information and decide whether a specialist is suitable for your matter.
